In this tutorial, you will see how to remove the EGR valve in a Volkswagen Golf, a very simple and quick operation. First, wait until the engine is cool enough to work safely, then open the bonnet, locate the valve in question, and disconnect the large hose connected to it. Next, unscrew the mounting bolts using both a 5mm and a 6mm hex key, disconnect any additional hoses, and separate the valve from the bracket.

At this point, you can position the replacement and install it by following the reverse procedure.
