Any Volkswagen Passat fuse is positioned within one of the designated fuse boxes present in the vehicle: this vehicle has three boxes that contain the fuses. The first is located on the left side of the dashboard, accessible only by opening the driver's door.

Here you will find the fuses for the horn, cigarette lighter, etc. The second fuse box is located in the lower left relative to the steering wheel and contains fuses that regulate the operation of the instrument cluster, cabin fan, etc. Finally, the last box is located on the right side of the engine bay and contains the fuses for the injectors, rear lights, etc.
