Removing the Auxiliary Belt on a Volkswagen Passat

To remove the timing belt on a Volkswagen Passat, follow these steps. Open the bonnet and lift it securely. Raise the car on a column lift to access the underside. Use a spanner to loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the fastening bolt of the tensioner pulley, then remove the water pump as shown in the video. Install the new water pump, the tensioner, and the belt, tightening everything with the socket wrench. Finally, reinstall the radiator with the fastening bolts.
