How to reset the "Service" indicator on a Volkswagen Crafter?

To reset the "Service" light on a Volkswagen Crafter, start by turning on the instrument panel without starting the engine. Use the buttons on the steering wheel to navigate the menu on the multifunction display. Press the "Menu" button and use the scrolling buttons to find the "Settings" option. Within the settings menu, look for and select the "Maintenance" option. Once in the maintenance section, you will find the option to reset the "Service" light. Follow the instructions on the display to proceed with the reset. Usually, you will be asked to confirm the operation by pressing a specific button for a few seconds. Hold the button down until the display confirms that the reset has been successfully completed and the "Service" light turns off. Once finished, turn off the instrument panel and then turn it back on to verify that the light has indeed been reset.
