How to change the battery of the Volkswagen Polo MK4

Model: Volkswagen Polo Polo 4, 9N, Polo IV, MK IV, MK 4 - Years 2001-2009
Part: Battery

In this video we can see how to change the battery of the Volkswagen Polo IV: we open the hood, and we see the battery on the right side of the engine. We always start by disconnecting the negative terminal first, which is the black one; then the positive one. Using a 13mm key with an extension, we unscrew the battery support plate, then with a flathead screwdriver, we lever the fixing tab, then detach the entire unit from the box and lift it. We remove the battery. We scrape the terminals with sandpaper to remove the oxide layer. We grease the terminals of the new battery with copper grease and install it in its place. We reconnect the positive terminal, then the negative one and secure it with the support plate and the fixing cage. Operation completed.

Installation of Upgraded Intercooler Radiator with Pipes

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands, remove the front wheels, and then the front bumper and grille. Proceed to remove the front headlights; drain the coolant, remove the intercooler radiator and the hoses connecting it to the intake system. Position the new intercooler radiator in the grille, temporarily securing it with cable ties, and mark with a marker the part of the metal that needs to be removed to allow the new hoses to pass through. Cut the marked portion of metal and apply a gasket to the edge. Remove the inner cover of the bumper and position it near the radiator to identify any interfering parts to eliminate: again, apply a gasket to the edge of the cut. Create brackets for securing the new radiator and proceed with the installation of the connecting pipes from the radiator to the intake, shaping and connecting them appropriately. Finally, reassemble the bumper, headlights, and grille.
