What to do when the immobilizer light turns on in a Volkswagen Golf

In this video, we will see what to do if the immobilizer error light comes on in a Volkswagen Golf specifically, but more generally in any Volkswagen car. This light comes on if someone tries to force the lock, but there are also other cases in which it can come on: for example, if the remote control battery is weak or depleted; in this case, the remedy is simple. We will need to change the button battery, or use the spare key. We also visually inspect the key, which may have been damaged. Damages could also involve the car's keypad. Another method to solve the problem is to insert the key and turn it to the ignition position, without starting the engine, for about 10 minutes, so that the system can detect the key and reset itself. Another problem could be the vehicle battery not being sufficiently charged. Finally, check the fuse related to the immobilizer, checking it from the diagram in the owner's manual. If none of this works, we must necessarily seek professional help.

How to Repair the Key Spring of the Peugeot 207?
