How to replace the HVAC fan of the VW Golf 7

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf VII, MK 7, Golf 7 - Years 2012-2019

Today we will explain how to replace the HVAC fan of the Volkswagen Golf model mk7 on your own. We start by removing the panel below the dashboard on the passenger side, unscrewing the two plastic screws. After removing the cover, disconnect the power cable by moving the left tab. We continue with the removal of the fan, pressing the bottom and releasing the clip. Once the fan is removed, we can disconnect the speed regulator connector and unscrew the body, using a T30 star screwdriver. Mount the central body on the new fan and connect the first speed regulator connector. Install the fan on the vehicle and connect the power cable. Finally, we finish by mounting the lower cover and testing the fan's operation by turning on the heating.
