How to remove the door panel on a Volkswagen Golf Mk5? Follow these steps: before starting the disassembly, disconnect the battery terminals located in the front engine compartment. Use a lever or screwdriver to pry at the bottom of the handle on the door panel, then detach the piece (as shown in the video) and begin unscrewing the door securing screws with a screwdriver. Use a plastic lever to release all the clips by prying around the entire perimeter of the door. Finally, pull away the panel using your hands, disconnecting the opening lever cable, the window regulator connectors, and the speaker connectors.
