How to disassemble the airbag of the Polo 5

In this article we will see how to disassemble the airbag of the Volkswagen Polo 5th series. For this operation we will need a slotted screwdriver. First of all, it is recommended to disconnect the battery to prevent the airbag from activating unintentionally, after which the upper cover of the steering wheel must be removed by levering with the screwdriver, after removing the upper cover you must lever on the fixing clips located on the sides of the steering wheel at the rear, as shown in the video tutorial below, by pressing on the appropriate fixing clips the airbag will be extracted, remove it from its housing and then disconnect the appropriate connectors. Now the procedure will be complete.
