How to Replace the Thermostat on a Volkswagen Golf

Let's see how to remove the thermostat on a Volkswagen Golf Mk5. Unscrew the bolts on the thermostat housing cap (as shown in the video) using a socket wrench and appropriate sockets, then pull off the sealing cap and remove the coolant thermostat from its housing. Once the part is removed, replace it with a new one, close the compartment with the cap, and securely tighten the bolts with all their parts. Ensure the thermostat valve is correctly inserted and fitted in the appropriate housing, and top up with new coolant (lost previously).
