How to Reset the Service Light on the Volkswagen Golf?

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008
Part: Service warning light

You can completely clear the Service light that illuminates on the Volkswagen Golf 5 by pressing and holding the button located on the right side of the instrument cluster, which will display "0.0". Keep this button pressed while the instrument cluster is off; continue holding it, insert the ignition key into the corresponding slot, and turn it to switch on the instrument cluster. Once the cluster is activated, you will see the Service light turn off after a moment; at this point, you can release the button and turn off the display.
