How to Remove the Fuel Filler Door Lock of a Golf 7

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf VII, MK 7, Golf 7 - Years 2012-2019

Don't know how to remove the fuel filler door lock of your Golf 7? Let's see how to do it in this video. Open the fuel filler door, unscrew the filler cap and use a screwdriver to unscrew the pins located on the internal plastic of the fuel cap (if present). After unscrewing the pins, remove the rubber trim around the hole and pull it towards you. Pry around the lock and pull it out. The power cable for the door release will come out with the lock. Replace the damaged motor with a new one of the same size. Refit the fuel filler door with the associated screws.
