How to change the cabin air filter of the Volkswagen Polo

Model: Volkswagen Polo Polo 5, Polo V, MK 5, MK V, 6R - Years 2009-2017

On the Volkswagen Polo, the cabin air filter is accessed from the passenger side, under the dashboard, near the glove compartment. Work with the vehicle off and ventilation turned off to avoid air system movements while your hands are in the area. Go to the passenger footwell and locate the cover of the filter housing. Unlock the closure tab and open the cover just enough to free the opening. At this point, pull out the used filter by gently pulling it outwards, avoiding shaking it to prevent dust from falling. Before inserting the replacement, ensure the housing is clean and free of debris. Insert the new filter respecting the indicated direction, push it in until it is seated without bending it more than necessary, then close the cover and check that the tab has returned to the locked position. Finally, turn the ventilation back on and check that the airflow is regular and without unusual noises.
