How to Replace the Oil Filter on VW Polo

The oil filter on the Volkswagen Polo should be replaced at the recommended mileage during each service. Here’s how to remove it. Lift the car on a column lift or jack, after removing the cover panel, unscrew the oil sump bolt with a socket, allow the fluid to drain into a disposal container and then re-screw the sump bolt and the oil filter. Lift the engine cover, secure it, detach the engine panel; unscrew the filter cap and remove the filter itself. Refill the engine with new oil. Measure the oil level multiple times with the metal dipstick until the ideal measurement is reached. Refit the engine cover panel.
