Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement for Volkswagen Golf 4

In this video tutorial, you will learn how to replace the engine oil and oil filter of a Volkswagen Golf 4. First, lift the car and remove the Torx screws from the oil sump guard. Next, unscrew the oil drain bolt and allow the oil to drain completely. Remove the oil filter located underneath the vehicle using a socket wrench: replace it with the new one, ensuring the new seal is in place and install it correctly. Tighten everything to 18 Nm and replace the oil cap. Refit the sump guard, lower the vehicle, and proceed to pour in the new engine oil!
