Replace the Headlight Bulbs on a Passat

Model: Volkswagen Passat 3BG, B5 - Years 1996-2005

Need to replace the blown bulbs in the Passat's headlights? This operation is not too complicated; let's see how to do it. Open the bonnet by pulling the lever located at the bottom right of the dashboard, and secure it with the prop rod. Remove the plastic cover next to the headlight and the air duct. Take off the inspection cap from the headlight (located at the rear of the headlight). Pull the bulb holder out of the headlight and extract the damaged bulbs with the help of a screwdriver. Install the new bulbs (always of the correct type and size) and insert the bulb holder back into the headlight housing. Close the headlight with the cap, reattach the air duct, and fit the plastic cover.
