Replacing Wheel Bearings, Disassembling Brake Discs

Model: Volkswagen Polo MK IV, Polo IV, Polo 4, MK 4, 9N - Years 2001-2009

Lift the vehicle on a hydraulic lift and remove the front wheels; Unscrew the caliper mounting bolts and remove it; then unscrew the brake disc mounting bolt to take it off the hub; next, disassemble the wheel speed sensor and the drive shaft retaining nut; unscrew the ball joint and extract it using the appropriate puller; then slide the drive shaft out of the hub and use the appropriate puller to remove it, which will come off complete with the bearing. Clean the hub support of any rust residues and insert the new hub complete with bearing using the appropriate tool (if you do not have this tool, disassemble the entire support and carry out the replacement with the aid of a press).
Proceed in reverse for reassembling the other components.
