Removing the Rear Bumper on VW Tiguan

Remove the rear bumper of the car? Here’s how to detach the rear bumper from a VW Tiguan. Lift the tailgate. Use a plastic or metal lever to remove the retaining rivets located at the bottom of the wing, then unscrew the retaining screws in the wheel arch. Unscrew the screws underneath the bumper and the screws at the front. Remove the impact absorbers and the bumper from the body of the vehicle, and disconnect the electrical connectors. To proceed with the reassembly: position the bumper onto the body of the vehicle and tighten all screws around the wheel arch, both above and below.
