Removing the Door Panel on a Passat

Remove the door panel from the Passat? Here’s how to detach it from the top of the door. Remove the covers for the screws located near the handle and near the door opening lever. Unscrew the screws under the handle and throughout the panel. Disconnect the clips securing the door panel (behind the panel). Grip the panel with your hands and, using leverage, detach it from the door without bending it (connect the electrical connectors behind the panel). Fit the new cover panel with the corresponding electrical connectors, screws, and plastics. Check the correct assembly of the plastics.
