Replacing the Front Seat in a Golf 4

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

Replace the front seat in a Golf 4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the car battery. Move the seat forward (using the release handle) and raise the seat cushion, then unscrew the securing screws located on the plastic covers that conceal the rear tracks using a socket wrench. Move the seat back and remove the securing pins at the front (centre). Disconnect the power connectors for the front seat. Install the new front seat by following the disassembly steps mentioned earlier. Reconnect the power to the seat and the car battery.
