Radio and Dashboard Disassembly

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008

Unscrew the mounting screws of the glove compartment located in the centre of the dashboard, just above the central air vents, and remove it by pulling it upwards; then disassemble the underlying support including the air vents and the hazard light button. At this point, the two screws securing the frame around the radio and air conditioning controls are visible and must be removed to detach the frame. Finally, access the four screws securing the radio located at each corner: once unscrewed, it can be extracted by disconnecting the plugs.
