Remote Key Programming

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008

To programme the remote for locking and unlocking, you will need two car keys in addition to the remotes to be programmed, one to insert in the ignition and one in the door lock. Position the ignition key to the 'on' position (ignition on, engine off); turn the key in the door lock to the 'open' position and hold it for about 10 seconds until a beep is heard; at this point, release the key, press the unlock button on the remotes to be programmed (a beep will confirm the unlock signal), and turn the key in the door lock again for another 10 seconds until the beep is heard. Then turn off the ignition and check the operation of the remotes.
