How to remove the covering panel? Let's see how to dismantle the covering panel from under the roof of the VW Passat. Remove the side handles of the headlining with a screwdriver, then remove the sun visors and the overhead lighting unit located in the panel. Dismantle the covers of the pillars and the front and rear dome lights (pry off with a plastic lever). Detach the headlining panel around the perimeter of the car's roof until it is completely removed. Clean the entire surface of the car's roof and then prepare to fit the new panel. Secure the panel under the roof and reassemble all the pillar covers. Refit the lighting dome lights.
