Volkswagen Jetta - Video tutorial

Model: Volkswagen Jetta MK 5, A5 - Years 2005-2010
Part: Air filter
Operation: Engine air filter and spark plugs replacement

The engine air filter is contained inside the engine cover itself: in order to remove it, it is first necessary to unhook the fastening clamps of the front air conveyor and the sleeve connected to the filter container itself. Once the cover has been removed and placed on the bench, unscrew the fixing screws of the filter container cap, extract it and insert the new one after having dusted its seat (pay attention so that no residue can end up in the suction duct). Since you have removed the engine cover, it may also be useful to take a look at the spark plugs: unclip the sockets connected to the ignition coils, unscrew the fixing screws of the coils themselves and remove the pipettes; dust before unscrewing the spark plugs and disassembling them. Install the new spark plugs and proceed in reverse for reassembly.

How do you open the fuel flap of the Volkswagen Golf 5?

In order to open the fuel flap of the Volkswagen Golf 5, you need to press the appropriate button inside the passenger compartment, which is located in the rear part of the glove box on the driver's door. By pressing the button, the flap will unlock and it will then be possible to open it manually. Once the flap has been opened, the fuel tank access cap must be unscrewed. To close everything again, it will be sufficient to screw the tank cap again; subsequently, the flap must also be closed, pressing it so that it fits thanks to its locking mechanism.
