Removing the Fuel Tank on Volkswagen Golf GTI MK3

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf III, MK 3, Golf 3 - Years 1991-1997

In today's video, we will see step-by-step instructions for removing the fuel tank on a Volkswagen Golf GTI MK3. First, disconnect the two battery cables; then lift the vehicle with axle stands at the rear to extract the tank. Now remove the rear wheels and disassemble the fuel pump located in the spare wheel well; to do this, disconnect the electrical connector and the fuel line, then unscrew the retaining ring. Finally, unscrew all the screws of the tank brackets, possibly using a jack for lowering it!
