Polishing the Foggy Headlamp Glass

Model: Volkswagen Bora MK 6 - Years 1998-2005

If the headlamp glass becomes foggy, instead of replacing the entire unit, you can polish the glass to restore it to like new condition. For this job, you will need the 3M cleaning kit. Following the included instructions, first wash the glass, then use the special abrasive paste and, with patience, evenly sand the surface of the glass. Afterwards, clean with alcohol and a clean cloth. Protect the bodywork and spray the appropriate spray until it is perfectly shiny and transparent. Wipe the glass with a cloth while working to remove dirt and any glass residue.
