Installing an Aftermarket Car Radio

Model: Volkswagen Passat B7 - Years 2010-2014

Release the aluminium frame around the centre console along with the dashboard trim (use plastic levers to avoid damage) and disconnect the connector behind the climate control; then unscrew the mounting screws of the car radio and pull it forward to extract it from its location, just enough to disconnect the connected plugs. At this point, install the adaptor frame by securing it with the screws that held the original car radio; then insert the support frame, folding some tabs to secure it to the frame. Connect the adaptor wiring to the original plugs, connect them to the new car radio, and insert it until it clicks into place on the support frame. Finally, reattach the aluminium frame.
