How to open the Volkswagen Polo remote and replace the battery?

In this video tutorial, we can see how to replace the battery of the Volkswagen Polo remote, applicable to many Volkswagen vehicles of the same generation as they share the same remote. To proceed with the replacement, you will need a small flathead screwdriver and a replacement battery, model CR2032. Start by extending the emergency key, then locate the transverse slot in the middle of the newly exposed area. Insert the screwdriver tip into this slot and split the remote in half. Split the lower part in half again to access the battery. Remember to respect the correct polarity.
