How to Replace the Reversing Light Bulb on a Volkswagen Polo 4?

Replacing the reversing light bulb on a Volkswagen Polo mk4 requires the removal of the entire rear light unit, but as you can see from the attached video, it is a simple operation that does not need any special tools. First, open the boot lid and move the carpet near the light. You will notice a hole in the bodywork where a locking nut is located; proceed by unscrewing it by hand. Disconnect the connector and gently pull the light unit from the lower outer area. Once the unit is removed, you will see four clips at the back that need to be pressed inwards. At this point, you will have removed the base with the bulbs attached, so you can proceed with the replacement and reassembly by following the reverse procedure.
