Thermostat Valve Replacement

Model: Volkswagen Passat 3BG, B5 - Years 1996-2005

To replace the thermostat, work with the engine cold to avoid burns. Remove the plastic cover from the engine, then disconnect the hose from the throttle body for easier access to the thermostat's fixing bolts, located just below the alternator. Once the bolts are removed and the hose is detached from the block, extract the thermostat and replace it with a new one, ensuring to apply a new o-ring gasket to the flange. After reassembling everything, restore the coolant level.
