Once the engine is turned off, the hydraulic system that operates the brake calipers is deactivated: to lock the rear wheels by engaging the handbrake, it operates a lever mechanism via the corresponding cable, which controls a pin inside the caliper cylinder that is pushed and compresses the pads against the disc, preventing rotation.

The video shows a rear brake caliper from which the brake pad actuator cylinder has been removed to demonstrate the activation of the push pin via the handbrake cable.

How to Remove the Rear Seat of a Hyundai Tucson?

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins.
