How to Replace the Thermostat of the Volkswagen Golf 1.4 TSI?

To replace the thermostat of the Volkswagen Golf 1.4 TSI, open the bonnet and access the engine bay by removing the air filter box. To do this, unscrew the appropriate screws and disconnect the attached hose: beneath the box, the thermostat will be present. Before removing it, you need to remove the cover from the underside of the car and open the coolant reservoir drain cap. This will allow you to collect the fluid in a container. Then, accessing again from the engine bay, you can remove the thermostat and replace it with a new spare part.
