Replacement of Rear Discs and Pads

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

Lift the vehicle on a hydraulic lift and remove the rear wheel. Then, remove the caliper by unscrewing the fixing pins from the support. Extract the old pads and also remove the caliper support. Unscrew the disc fixing screw from the hub and give the disc a few taps with a hammer to free it from the hub. Proceed in reverse for reassembly, first cleaning the disc seating on the hub and applying grease, then place the disc on the hub and secure it with the respective screw. Next, move to the caliper support, insert the pads, and then secure the caliper to the support.
