In this tutorial, you will see how to remove the window switch console in a Volkswagen Passat B5, a very simple and quick operation. To do this, you will need a flat-head screwdriver or, preferably, a plastic trim tool. First, unclip the internal panel of the handle on the console, then pry along the entire perimeter until it is completely unclipped from the door. Once removed, disconnect the internal connector, separate the switch panel from the frame, and fit the replacement following the exact reverse procedure.
