The procedure for replacing the spark plugs in the Volkswagen Golf begins by lifting the front bonnet to remove the engine cover. Once this part is removed, disconnect the ignition coil connectors and take out the coils from their housing.

At this point, it’s advisable to clean the surrounding area to prevent debris from accidentally falling into the spark plug wells. After cleaning, extract the spark plugs using the appropriate ratchet tool, and once replaced with new ones, proceed to reposition the various elements back in place.
