How to Open the Bonnet of the Volkswagen New Beetle

To open the bonnet and access the engine compartment of the vehicle, follow these simple steps: open the driver’s door and locate the release lever at the bottom under the dashboard next to the pedal box. Pull this lever fully towards you, then exit the car and position yourself in front of the bonnet. Insert two fingers into the gap created between the bumper and the bonnet, and pull the lever located under the bonnet to the right. The bonnet will then be free to open, and you can secure it in the open position using the prop rod.
