Replacing the Remote Key Battery

Model: Volkswagen Jetta MK 5, A5 - Years 2005-2010

To replace the battery in the remote key, first separate the remote from the key: press the button to allow the key to open and intercept the closure line between the remote part and the metal key holder, lever with a small screwdriver to unclip and slide the remote back; at this point, separate the two halves of the remote, extract the old battery, remove any dirt residue or signs of oxidation, and insert the new battery, reassemble the remote halves and insert it back into the metal key holder.
