Volkswagen Golf - Video tutorial

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf 5, MK 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008
Part: Checks and maintenance
Operation: How do you replace the engine oil temperature sensor on Volkswagen Golf?

To be able to replace the engine oil temperature sensor on the Volkswagen Golf, you need to access the lower part of the car, in particular in the area where the oil tank drain plug is located. The latter must be unscrewed, making all the used oil flow into a suitably positioned container; once the oil has completely drained, it will be possible to unscrew the screws that fix the oil temperature sensor located next to it, after the connector has also been disconnected. Once removed it will be possible to connect the new one, fixing it and inserting the new oil.
