Operation: How to replace the oil and the oil filter in Volkswagen Routan

To replace the oil and the oil filter of the Volkswagen Routan, we start by putting the car on the front ramps, we go under the car and under the sump we find the oil drain plug which we are going to unscrew with a 13 socket wrench and let the oil drain into a container underneath keeping the filler cap slightly open; once the oil has been drained, screw the oil drain plug back on; now let's go to the upper part of the engine, disconnect the air filter connector, with an 8 socket wrench loosen the screws that hold the air tube at the end and remove it; once the air pipe has been removed, we can unscrew the oil filter with a 16 socket wrench and remove it; once the oil filter has been removed, unhook it from the cap, remove the gasket on the cap, hook the new oil filter onto the cap, put the new gasket back on the cap and screw it into its seat; put the air hose back on by screwing the clamps at the end and reconnect the connector; now we can open the oil filler cap, insert a funnel inside the hole, pour the liters indicated by the manufacturer, when we are approximately on the indicated liters we carry out a check using the level control rod (the check goes carried out the second time you remove the dipstick) and top up if necessary, otherwise if the oil is on the "max" notch, the operation is complete and you can close the oil filler cap.
