How to Open the Key Remote and Replace the Battery

Model: Volkswagen Polo Polo 5, Polo V, MK 5, MK V, 6R - Years 2009-2017

This type of key is also used in other Volkswagen models, such as Golf, Passat, and Jetta, and it can be really convenient to replace the battery quickly without breaking anything.
First, open the flip key by pressing the designated chrome metal button, keeping it facing down and the now-empty key housing towards you. Press with a finger, as shown in the guide, and push the relevant part outward.
The cover is then removed, giving you free access to the battery for replacement. Once the new battery is inserted into its housing, carefully snap the cover back in place, and the job is done.
