Replacing Engine Oil and Filter

Model: Volkswagen Jetta A4, MK 4 - Years 1998-2005
Part: Oil filter

Start by removing the plastic protective cover under the engine to access the oil sump, unscrew the drain plug, and drain the used oil; once drained, re-screw the plug and refit the plastic cover; then access the engine bay, remove the cover above the engine, and locate the immersion-type filter; unscrew the plastic cap, remove the old filter, and insert the new one, also replacing the set of O-ring gaskets that are always included in the new filter kit; finally, fill the engine with new oil until the maximum level is reached.
