Replacing Rear Brake Pads

To replace the rear brake pads, you first need the specific tool to rotate and retract the caliper piston; with that said, lift the vehicle (with the first gear engaged and the handbrake released) on suitable car stands and remove the rear wheel; then unscrew the caliper mounting bolts to remove it, extract the old pads, clean the surfaces with a wire brush, fit the new pads, retract the caliper piston using the specific tool, and refit the caliper.
