Replacing the Cabin Air Filter

The filter is located under the dashboard on the passenger side, protected by a plastic cover that slides off to the right. Remove the filter by sliding it down; you may want to protect the car mat from dirt that will fall with a plastic sheet.

Now insert the new filter, ensuring the correct orientation of the shape, and refit the box with the cover, making sure it fits perfectly to avoid leaks. The video describes the operations to be performed on the 2006 Volkswagen Passat, but the procedure also applies to other Volkswagen car models.
