How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen Golf 5?

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008
Part: Service warning light

To reset the Service light on a Volkswagen Golf, press and hold the right button located at the bottom of the instrument cluster, marked "0.0". While holding it, turn the ignition key to switch on the instrument cluster. The display in the centre will show "Service": by rotating the button on the left of the instrument cluster, the kilometres remaining until the next service will appear. Simply press the button on the left side of the instrument cluster, and the Service light will be completely reset.
