To manually reset the service light that appears permanently on the instrument cluster of your Volkswagen Golf Mk4 (1997-2003), follow this simple procedure. First, get into the driver's seat and ensure the ignition is off. Then, press and hold the button located below the speedometer while turning the ignition on. Wait a few seconds, then release the button and turn the dial located below the rev counter clockwise. At this point, the service light reset is successfully completed.
