Instructions for Removing the Rear Window Switch

Model: Volkswagen Jetta MK 6, A6 - Years 2010-2018
Part: Push button

The rear window switch is integrated into the inner trim of the rear handle. To remove the switch, you must detach the trim by prying along the edges using a plastic lever to avoid damaging the trim edges. Once the trim is detached and removed from its location, disconnect the switch connector and widen the fixing tabs of the switch itself to release and remove it from its position. Before replacing it, you may try to open it and clean the internal contacts that may have oxidised.
