Replacing the Battery in the Volkswagen Polo

When the battery in the Volkswagen Polo is flat and cannot hold a charge, you need to replace it. To do this, open the bonnet; you will find the battery on the driver's side. Using a 10mm spanner, start by loosening the negative terminal, then loosen the positive terminal along with the entire plate. Using a 13mm spanner, remove the fixing bracket at the base of the battery, allowing you to lift out the battery along with its side protection. Take the new battery and fit the protection recovered from the old one, place it in the housing, and reattach the bracket without tightening it fully. Reconnect the positive terminal securing its plate, then fix the negative terminal and finally tighten the bracket securely.
