Failure of the Roller Cage in the Flywheel Shaft

It is quite unusual for rust to form inside the gearbox, however, the video shows the failure of a bearing which is actually a roller cage that centres and allows the flywheel shaft to rotate with the crankshaft; such a breakage is indeed rare and can cause significant damage not only to the clutch but also to all rotating elements within the gearbox, as the rollers that make up the roller cage can end up everywhere and cause extensive damage; during reassembly, it is advisable to apply grease to the roller cage to prevent the formation of new rust.
