In this tutorial, you will see how to replace the lock in the Volkswagen Golf, a very simple operation. First, open the relevant door, then unclip the inner edge cover, loosen the indicated screw, and remove the outer cylinder.

Next, separate the handle, undo all the bolts around the perimeter of the door, and remove the outer panel. At this point, simply undo the lock mounting bolts, disconnect both the control cable and the connector, and separate the module.

To fit the replacement, just follow the reverse procedure.
