In this guide, we will perform the drainage and subsequent refilling of the transmission oil for the Volkswagen Polo 1.2 12-valve. First, we lift the vehicle and start loosening the oil drain bolt that we find on the gearbox, using a socket wrench, allowing it to drain into a container for about ten minutes. Then, we proceed to loosen the transmission oil fill cap. At this point, we refill it with the appropriate oil, with the correct specifications; we pour the right amount, as indicated in the vehicle's user manual and maintenance booklet!
